The bladder is made of thick TPU material that's pressure & wear resistant. TPU is a superior material than EVA, which most other brands use. It has greater softness & flexibility, higher resistance to stretching & tearing, and is more pressure tolerant. TPU also has higher washability & greater resistance to temperature changes, making this bladder an ideal choice. The bladder holds water even with the tube is removed. This makes it easy to place the bladder in an icebox, refrigerator, etc.
